Providence Dental Clinic Folkestone

Contact us today for a Free Consultation with one of our Invisalign trained dentists at Providence Dental  if you are considering teeth straightening.

Invisalign treatment involves wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth. Unlike metal braces, there are no brackets or wires and Invisalign aligners do not come with any restrictions.

Flexible plastic, specifically a patented thermoplastic material called SmartTrackTM, is used to make Invisalign clear aligners. Each aligner is designed specifically for you based on high precision 3D scan of your teeth to ensure customised fit.

Misaligned Teeth- The Problem

Your teeth can bunch up, overlap and twist, sometimes getting pushed to the front or back, when you don’t have enough room in your mouth to fit your teeth normally.

Overbite occurs when your upper and lower front teeth overlap. At least a little overbite is what most people have.

Crossbite occurs when some of your upper teeth are sitting in your lower teeth, rather than on the outside, when you try to close your mouth.

Open Bite is a condition when  your upper and lower teeth don’t touch when your mouth is closed.

Invisalign Treatment Journey

Our Invisalign trained dentist will create a 3D digital impression of your teeth with iTero scanner. A custom treatment plan is mapped out using the 3D scan data, which will allow you to see what your smile could look like after Invisalign treatment. If you wish to proceed with treatment, then a order is placed for manufacturing custom aligners.

During your first visit, your dentist will ensure the aligners fit perfectly and answer any questions you may have regarding aligner care. You will visit your dentist frequently to monitor progress and switch to new aligners.

You will wear each set of aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day, changing to a new set of aligners every 1 to 2 weeks, as directed by your dentist.

Depending on your treatment plan, each set of aligners will gently and gradually shift the teeth into place until you have reached a beautiful new smile.

Once you’ve achieve your treatment goal of a new, beautiful smile, you start using custom made Vivera retainers to keep smile you love.
