Dr Mei Huang is a GDC-registered Specialist in Periodontics working across Kent and London, and a Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute,UCL. She graduated in Dentistry from Southern Medical University (China) in 2010, completed a Master’s in Periodontology, and earned a PhD in Dental Biomaterials from Queen Mary University of London in 2017. She joined the Eastman Dental Institute and Hospital in 2019 as an NIHR Clinical Lecturer and Specialty Registrar, completing her specialist training and gaining Membership in Periodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2023. Mei provides evidence-based care for gum disease (periodontitis), peri-implant diseases, and periodontal plastic surgery (gum grafting procedure), and accepts referrals for a wide range of periodontal treatments. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, crafting, gardening, and spending time with her family.
